๐ฅDe ๐๐ณ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ธ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐น is helemaal geen aardappel, maar een bloeiende plant uit zuidelijk Afrika met felgele bloemen. Je vindt `m nu bloeiend in onze ๐Kaapse kas. Hij dankt z`n bijnaam aan de vorm van de knol.
๐At the Hortus, we don`t use chemical pesticides in our greenhouses. Instead, we work with biological pest control, introducing beneficial insects like Cryptolaemus to keep pest populations in check. It`s a smart, natural way of protecting our plant collection - by letting nature do what it does best.

In plaats daarvan passen we biologische ongediertebestrijding toe, waarbij we nuttige insecten zoals Cryptolaemus inzetten om de populaties van ongedierte onder controle te houden. Its vivid scarlet flower appears on a bare stem, while the leaves only arrive afterwards. It`s native to South Africa - and you can now find it in our ๐Cape greenhouse! Swipe for a close-up.โ

De ๐ฏ๐น๐ผ๐ฒ๐ฑ๐ฏ๐น๐ผ๐บ (๐๐ข๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ข๐ฏ๐ต๐ฉ๐ถ๐ด ๐ค๐ฐ๐ค๐ค๐ช๐ฏ๐ฆ๐ถ๐ด) bloeit graag eerst en stelt daarna pas vragen. De levendige scharlakenrode bloem bloeit op een kale stengel, terwijl de bladeren pas daarna verschijnen. De plant komt oorspronkelijk uit Zuid-Afrika โ en je kunt hem nu vinden in onze ๐Kaapse kas!
